That’s Bono, the lead singer of U2, in Sunday’s New York Times. He’s writing about America’s role in the world. But he also might be explaining why foreign companies invest in the United States. It’s a great time for a debate about America and the world, and the world in America. Bono does that in the Op-Ed pages; I hope to do that with The Selling of the American Economy.
